Kailash Lawyers & Consultants recognizes the ‘missing middle’ in our society, the group of people who do not meet the criteria to receive Legal aid but are also not financially equipped to receive expensive private legal services. Therefore, Kailash Lawyers and consultants have started a new initiative which caters to the people who fall into the missing middle, with aims to restore balance and justice within our society.
As recognised by the Law Council of Australia, Immigrants and Temporary Residents (International students) are categories of people who are heavily in need of legal services and fall within the missing middle. Therefore, Kailash Lawyers & consultant’s Pro-Bono and Low-Bono services cater the needs of people who face financial and cultural restraints while
accessing justice.
Our Principal Solicitor, Amit Pall, has always been a proud advocate for community work, with prior involvement with the Macquarie Legal Centre in his initial years of practice and several other community organisations. He has always been committed to giving back to society, especially those who face several limitations and barriers, be it financial or cultural, when seeking help. Our goal is to break these barriers and provide quality legal assistance and services on a Pro-Bono and Low-Bono basis.
Pro-Bono: Legal services provided for free or on a significantly reduced fee basis.
Low-Bono: Legal services provided on a Significantly reduced fee basis. Catering to people who don’t meet the criteria for Legal aid and are not financially equipped for expensive private Legal services.
Our Pro Bono & Low Bono services aim to provide legal assistance including but not limited to:
Our primary focus for our Pro-Bono and Low-Bono services will be to cater and assist in the matters of Family law, Domestic Violence and Immigration Law, which are part of the key areas of legal need for the missing middle.
These services will be provided on a Low bono basis and will be significantly reduced in cost. However, our eligibility criteria also allows us to differentiate and consider the clients who require pro-bono services as well.
To access our Pro-bono and Low bono services, you must meet our eligibility criteria, including but not limited to, financial background, case type and stage of the matter, which will then be reviewed by our team. Upon review of your eligibility, you may be eligible to receive either Low or Pro-bono services catering to your needs by Kailash Lawyers & Consultants.
